In pursuit of high quality development, we would not regret a thousand times to die. As counterfeit and shoddy products prevail and inferior construction quality persists, Oriental Yuhong has made great strides in an everchanging environment and built its own new pattern of truth, virtue and beauty. Despite an insignificant beginning, it is growing from strength to strength.

然而，企业与其他组织或个体之间，不仅存在着实质性的差异，更要面临来自外部环境与内部管理的叠加挑战。正因如此，企业的发展路径必定是曲折的，随时都要警惕“触礁”、甚至“搁浅”的可能。

Nevertheless, a company, unlike an organization or individual in nature, is compelled to face challenges from both external environment and internal management. It is based on this fact that its development path is bound to be winding, and we should stay alert to the likelihood of “hitting the rocks” or even “getting stranded” at any time.

于东方雨虹而言，在创业的“第一声枪响”后，在时隔27年后的今天，我们将要面临的严峻挑战以及亟待解决的问题还有许多，尤其对待消极懈怠、知行不一、形式主义、官僚主义等问题，必须打起十二分精神，时刻保持组织的公平公正、公开透明。在撇开过往成绩，摒除盲目自信的同时，时刻与组织“病变”、组织熵增做抗争。这才是东方雨虹应有的“作战”思维。

Today, twenty-seven years have passed since the “first gunshot” of entrepreneurship at Oriental Yuhong was fired, and we are still confronted with many severe challenges and pressing problems. In particular, we should be wary of pessimism, slackness, empty talk, formalism, bureaucracy and beyond to ensure fairness, justice, openness, and transparency of the company. While abandoning past achievements and blind confidence, we should fight at all times against company diseases and entropy increase, demonstrating the “combat” thinking Oriental Yuhong deserves.

“山下出泉，蒙。君子以果行育德”。唯有“付出不亚于任何人的努力”，才能在风雨激荡中闯出属于草根的进阶之路。东方雨虹依然还是一个俯身做工的企业，也依然还是那个甘心千锤百炼，坚信涓涓滴流可穿万仞的攀登者。吾辈当共勉。

As the saying goes in the Book of Change, a spring wells up at the foot of the mountain: the image of youth. Thus, the superior man fosters his character by thoroughness in all that he does. It is only when “we make efforts that rival that of any competitor” that we can rise from insignificance to predominance amid twists and turns. In the final analysis, Oriental Yuhong remains a company that is dedicated to the engineering industry, and a climber that believes in the power of fortitude and tenacity. “About the Same”Is Far From Being the Same

“褚小者不可以怀大，绠短者不可以汲深”。当今世界百年未有之大变局正加速演进，面对纷繁复杂的风险与挑战，“60分万岁”的“差不多派”势必会在惊涛骇浪中毁于一旦。

A famous Chinese philosopher Zhuangzi once said, “a small sack cannot contain what is large; a short rope cannot reach what is deep. “ As the unprecedented changes faced by the world in a century proceed rapidly, and complicated risks and challenges persist, the faction of “about the same” content with being “about right” is bound to fall amid hardships and difficulties.

1919年，胡适先生在《差不多先生传》中，借“差不多先生”将不求甚解、敷衍苟且、浑浑噩噩等种种劣行揭露无遗。然而时至今日，“差不多”主义仍无处不在。它潜藏在每一个不易察觉的瞬间，企图以滥竽充数的侥幸心态；不穷原委、应付了事、闲散懒慢的行事作风蒙混过关。对这种不思进取、凡事得过且过的“躺平主义”，东方雨虹必须以零容忍的态度严肃清除。

In 1919, Mr Hu Shi decribed Mr. About-the-Same in an essay as a person who pursues superficial understanding, muddles with his duty and idles away his time. Until now, nevertheless, the doctrine of being“about the same” remains rampant. It can be found in every subtle moment, and reflected by any opportunistic attempt of making up the number, as well as behaviors including shallow understanding, perfunctory actions and direlection of duty. Oriental Yuhong should bear no tolerance to and eliminate those who lie down on their work and rest on their laurels.

The road of entrepreneurship is bumpy and only strivers can make it. In the development course of Oriental Yuhong, no single achievement has been easily won and no single moment has been spent with ease. Work for Happiness

对于大多数人而言，“谋生、立足、成事”是“入世人生”的三个必经阶段。诚然，工作是解决温饱、养家糊口的重要途径之一，但工作的价值与意义却不应囿于生计之忧、忌于冻馁之患。在获取物质安全感的同时，更为重要的是要在日积月累的磨砺中寻觅点亮生命的那一束光，不屈平凡、无愧选择。

For most people, “making a living, establishing a foothold, and achieving success” are the three stages they must go through to get integrated into the society. It is true that work is one of the important ways to obtain food and clothing and feed the family, but its value and significance goes far beyond making a living and staying away from hunger and cold. People work to not only gain a sense of material security, but also find the beam of light that lights up life among enduring hardships, and make an extraordinary choice that follows the thoughts deep in their heart.

自不待言，工作本身绝非“趣事”，但与其在无所事事的空虚中被裹挟进“平庸漩涡”，主动探寻、珍视工作所带来愉悦与满足，将“谋生”转化为“谋爱”，纵览风雨、苦亦是甜。被誉为“世界积极心理学研究领军人物”的心理学家米哈里·契克森米哈赖曾提出著名的“心流（Flow）”概念，他在研究中指出：当个人精力完全沉浸于某种活动中，进入“忘我”状态后，将会产生喜悦感、控制感和成就感等正面情绪。而越是长时间处于“心流”状态，越能使人感到快乐，激发创造力与进取心，继而形成“干一行，爱一行，专一行”的良性循环。

Needless to say, work itself is by no means “interesting”. Instead of being coerced into a “mediocre vortex” when doing nothing, we should actively explore and cherish the joy and satisfaction brought by work, and work for love, not just for making a living. Hardships are about both bitterness and sweetness. Mihaly Csikszentmihalyi, a psychologist known as “the global leader in positive psychology research”, puts forward the famous concept of “flow”, a state in which people are so involved in an activity that nothing else seems to matter and they have positive emotions such as joy, and sense of control and achievement. And the longer they stay in the state of “flow”, the happier, and the more creative and aggressive they are, which facilitates a virtuous circle of “one loves what he is doing and gets professional in it”.

Our heart can reach far beyond firmament while we should stay dedicated to daily work. The great ambitions cannot be achieved without the strong joint force of millions of like-minded people who have conquered barriers and forged ahead bravely. Honor Shame for Greatness

蒸蒸日上近三十载，步步登高领衔行业。东方雨虹一切的成就，很大程度上源于耿耿在心的耻感文化。

Over the past three decades or so, Oriental Yuhong has grown from strength to strength and eventually secured its leading position in the industry. All the achievements, to a large extent, can be attributed to its ingrained shame culture.

耻感文化是东方文化圈所特有的文化形态，是一种因害怕蒙耻而努力维持行为准则的文化，会因为对失败有深刻的耻辱感而克己图强，这种自我约束、自我否定的特殊情感也是人类进步的重要推动力。

Specific to the Oriental culture, shame culture represents a cultural form that inspires people to abide by codes of conduct for fear of shame, or to make unremitting efforts out of the deep shame for failure. Such a special emotion characterized by self-discipline and self-denial has become an important driving force for the human evolution.

“Rite, righteousness, integrity and shame are the four dimensions of a country. If those dimensions do not boom, the country will meet its doom.” The philosophy also applies to the development of a company, which shall consider shame as the bottom line. Otherwise, the company will suffer many setbacks. Astute people are good at prediction, and smart people are good at getting prepared in advance. Facing subversion and reconstruction, only by accurately grasping the relationship between “danger” and “opportunity” can one survive in adversity. Looking back at the human history, the global development process has always been continuously advanced and deepened under mutually intertwined and interacting contradictions. The world today is undergoing profound changes unseen in a century, including unprecedented fierce competition and landscape changes brought about by a new round of technological revolution and industrial transformation, as well as the reshaping of global division of labor and governance system resulting from the rapid “shift” of global economic focus. Now or Never

时间是衡量一切的标准。它既能够行塑一切，又赋予了一切价值，即可谓“一寸光阴一寸金”。然而，“寸金难买寸光阴”，因其易逝与不可复的特性，使我们除了精准发力、不骛虚功以外，别无选择。

Time is the criteria by which everything is measured. It can shape everything and give value to everything, that is “time is money”. However, “money cannot buy time”. Time flies and will never come back. Thus, we have no other choice but to make targeted efforts and stay down-to-earth.

古往今来，天下万物，一切皆有定数。恰如东方雨虹躬身于建筑建材行业，是我们奋楫于时代洪流中的必然选择。而近三十年里的岿然而立，更是源于我们信受奉行，笃定做工，一砖一瓦、一处一角打下最坚实的壁垒。

Through the ages, everything in the world has its destiny. Just as Oriental Yuhong has been devoted to the industry of building materials, it is an inevitable choice for us to paddle hard in the torrent of the times. We have adhered to our belief and stay committed to workmanship with a focus on every detail, making Oriental Yuhong stand firm over the past 30 years.

做工之路，没有运气。凡事虽有偶然的凑巧，但结果终如宿命般的必然。我们绝不相信运气和偶然，弯道超车、另辟赛道之类的捷径不适合将做工视为根本的东方雨虹，矢志不移、死磕到底才是东方雨虹文化的底色。

We should not seek luck in pursuit of workmanship. Although everything has its accidental factors, the final result is as inevitable as a fate. We never believe in luck and chance. Shortcuts such as overtaking on a corner and finding another new path are not suitable for Oriental Yuhong which sees workmanship as the fundamental. It is the foundation of Oriental Yuhong’s culture to persevere and never give up.
