Fear of tight supply oil prices close at their highest level in nearly a month

European and American crude oil futures rose for three consecutive days, worried about tight supply. Thursday (October 24) New York Mercantile futures exchange West Texas light oil futures settled at $56.23 a barrel in December 2019, the highest since September 26, up $0.26, or 0.5%, from the previous trading day, with a trading range of $55.41-56.51; London intercontinental Brent crude settled at $61.67 a barrel in December 2019, the highest since September 27, compared with the previous trading. The day was up $0.50, or 0.8%, with a trading range of $60.64-61.90.

OPEC and non OPEC oil producing countries involved in production reduction insist on production reduction, while shale oil producers in the United States also control capital investment. Despite signs of slowing global economic growth, oil supply has tightened.
